Overview

Acumen Data Systems is headed by a leading Brisbane-based vascular surgeon and software architect. The package 'Surgical Director' allows specialists in solo or group practices to easily record and review all the critical data surrounding operations and other invasive procedures. This medical record includes patient details, the type of operation, blood loss and other indicators of outcome in the post-operative period. The software makes it easy for a doctor to maintain the records required because it integrates several different records into one interface.

Surgical Director is available for immediate use by Surgeons and Surgical Units who wish to capture every detail of surgical procedures and is a necessary tool of trade for any surgeon.

Corporate History

Acumen Data Sytems was established in 1994 as a company dedicated to producing an Electronic Medical Record System, incorporating Surgical Audit and Research. The company has been operating from the SEAQ Incubator which has provided an environment to develop a world-class software application.

An earlier version of the software was successfully marketed in 1994, and provided a platform for further development.
